Who We Are

Hi I’m Julia McKay, M.S., OTR/L, CLC, a pediatric occupational therapist, lactation counselor, and owner of May Flowers Occupational Therapy LLC., who specializes in infant and toddler feeding and development.  I graduated in 2019 with my Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from American International College and have been working in pediatrics ever since! While I have experience working with all ages, birth-18 years old, my passion has been found in working with infants and their parents/caregivers. Through my time in outpatient, I felt that this niche field was lacking in care that prioritized the goals, hopes, and needs of the most important members of the care team, the parents! This eventually led me to founding my private practice, May Flowers Occupational Therapy LLC, an infant/toddler feeding, and development, out of network or cash based service, that’s mission is to provide family-centered, evidenced-based care to parents across Rhode Island. I have a variety of certifications that allow me to provide qualified and skilled care including, Beckman Oral Motor Protocol, Supporting Oral Feeding in Fragile Infants (SOFFI), and SOS Approach to Feeding.  I look forward to helping Rhode Island parents confidently navigate their child’s feeding and development journey while building lasting, and trusting relationships!
